FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device can be use d in pulsed and pulsed Doppler radar for surveillance and tacking of targets, which enable electronic tuning of the frequency of the probing signal from pulse to pulse. The disclosed device has a driving generator, two phase detectors, two mixers, a unit of heterodynes, a pulse modulator, an antenna, two analogue-to-digital converters, a power amplifier, an antenna switch, two square-wave generators, a device for calculating the instantaneous value of the modulus of the difference between signals at two frequencies, an adder, a phase changer, an intermediate frequency amplifier, a device for calculating the average value of effective radar cross-section, a high frequency amplifier, a device for averaging the difference between signals at two frequencies, a device for calculating the identification feature, a display device, connected to each other in a certain way.
EFFECT: possibility of identifying classes of aerial targets distinguished by radial dimensions, using a correlation double-frequency technique for identification in different modes of operation of radar stations.
