FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: method and device for realising said method are provided for reconstructing an encoded signal transmitted over a communication line in a packet switched network. The method comprises the following steps: delivering a communication signal which was encoded in multiple frames; determination of the main frame among multiple frames, loss of which will cause relatively considerable deterioration of quality of at least one next frame when that at least next frame is decoded; packing said multiple frames into multiple packets and determination of the packet containing at least one main frame; addition to at least one packet of security information which follows the packet marked as a packet carrying at least one main frame.

EFFECT: high quality of signals transmitted in encoded form in packet switched networks.
