FIELD: information technologies.
SUBSTANCE: digitised samples representing cophased and quadrature components of signal transformed with frequency reduction from receiver are stored. Samples are generated from quadrature demodulator or modulator, having I-Q imbalance. Constants of phase control and amplification ratio are calculated from digitised samples to compensate for I-Q imbalance, using solution in analytical form. Test signal with the first frequency is entered into transmitter, comprising qudrature modulator with I-Q imbalance. Quadrature modulator has bearing frequency. Transmitter generates signal of transmitter. Signal of transmitter is detected to generate composite signal, having the first test signal and the second test signal with the second frequency equal to doubled first frequency. Composite signal is digitised. Corrections of DC shift, phase and amplification ratio are calculated from digitised composite signal to correct I-Q imbalance, using solution in analytical form.
EFFECT: reduced time of processing and improved accuracy of working characteristics.
