FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to loose material classifiers and can be used in ore dressing, metallurgy, chemical and construction industries in, particularly production of crushed stone. Vibration classifier incorporates box, vibration exciter and working surface arranged in the box. Box is mounted on flexible elements. Working surface is made up of stepped plates arranged with clearance in projection on horizontal plane and furnished with lengthwise guide strips (ribs). Vibration classifier incorporates receiving container arranged under clearance between the plates. Adjustable vibration exciter allow reaching the parametres that provide for vibration segregation of material carried on working surface. Note here that step height, i.e. vertical distance h between adjacent plates is set proceeding from the condition: where g is free fall acceleration, V is set material speed, b is set thickness of fine material layer separated between plates that form the stage, a is width of clearance between plates in projection onto horizontal plane.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of grading to fraction composition.
