FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder metallurgy, particularly to cleaning nanopowders of impurities. Silicon carbide nanopowder is treated by inorganic liquid solvents in boiling, first, by sodium hydroxide solution with concentration over 20% and, then by hydrochloric acid solution with concentration over 30%. Now, the powder is rinsed by distilled water and calcinated in air at 773-823 K. Thereafter, it is treated by fluorhydric acid solution with concentration over 35%. Note here that treatment interval makes 0.5 to 1.0 h.
EFFECT: removing harmful impurities to meet process requirements.
