FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of dispersing riots involves directing a jet of water onto rioters, where the said water contains an irritant - CS in amount of 0.01-0.02 wt %. Concentration of the active substance in the water jet lies between concentration which ensures a lasting irritant effect on a person and concentration which incapacitates a person. The irritant composition contains water and CS, as well as possibly a mixture of organic solvents in which CS is dissolved. The mixture of organic solvents used can be isopropyl alcohol, ethyl acetate and ethylene glycol. Disclosed are optimum ratios of components and particularly concentration of CS in the water jet and concentration of CS in the mixture of organic solvents.
EFFECT: high efficiency of using special agents when dispersing riots.
