FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: device includes special-purpose component, tubular structure (TS) having the first and the second sections made from various materials, and detector to be lowered to TS for detection of signal associated with special-purpose component. At that, TS is located between detector and special-purpose component. Material of one TS section has the property which decreases the signal attenuation, and material of the second TS section provides the signal attenuation which is higher than that of the first section.
EFFECT: improving the accuracy of determination of well component location and preventing its collapse.
