FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming, namely to production of screws, and can be used at thread rolling mills. Blanks are loaded piece by piece into chute, and toothed rack is moved to have its front end at preset distance relative to blank end face. Then blank is fed into thread cutting rolls, revolving and brought together to size, thread is cut on the blank unless its end face thrusts against toothed rack end face, and toothed rack extracts rolled screw into chute and, further, in receiving cartridge. Note here that toothed rack is articulated with rack translation electric drive gear wheel. Said gear wheel is connected with pulse pickup connected in electric control circuit incorporating controller. Rack motion speed us varied by frequency converter connected to electric drive.
EFFECT: expanded performances, higher accuracy of thread cutting, simplified readjustment.
