SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming, in particular to method of pulse-impact surface plastic deformation (SPD) treatment, and can be used for finishing and hardening processing. Billet is revolved about its axis. Deforming tool translates along and revolves about it axis. Deforming tool is made up of ball-shaped deforming elements, disk-like case with radially blind seta to accommodated said deforming balls. Said disk accommodates separating ring with holes. Piston-like deflector is arranged under deforming ball. Piston has end face in contact with deforming ball features concave shape reversed to that of deforming ball. Central threaded bore, wherein jet is screwed, is made on piston opposite face. Piston cylindrical surface has a groove to accommodate rubber sealer.

EFFECT: expanded performances, reduced wear, higher efficiency and lower costs.
