FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to spacecraft flight control using data on the Earth magnetic field (EMF). Proposed method comprises measuring EMF intensity vectors and direction to selected star (in optical range). Last vector should be deflected from normal to spacecraft orbit plane. Angle between these vectors is measured at the moment of time when said angle reached its maximum in the range of 0°…90°, and magnetic interference is defined by certain formula. Said formula comprises vector of direction to selected star and calculated vector of EMF intensity, preset in absolute system of coordinates, as well as EMF intensity vector measured in bound coordinate system. To measure EMF intensity vector, CM-8M magnetometer mounted at Russian segment of ISS can be used. To measure direction to selected star, star or sun sensors can be sued.
EFFECT: possibility to detect magnetic interference.
