FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: housing of solid-propellant rocket engine includes shell, ends and compartment in which there are side attachment flanges of nozzles. Ends have central attachment flanges of covers, and inner surface of housing includes in addition thermal protection coating. The latter has variable thickness which is minimum possible and has some thickening only around flanges. Shell, ends and the compartment which has side attachment flanges of nozzles is made in block. The other invention of the group refers to solid-propellant rocket engine which includes the above housing and the charge attached to its thermal protection coating and having central channel. Charge is equipped with slots made in the form of through gas ducts passing through side flanges of the housing.
EFFECT: increasing volume filling of the housing with fuel, decreasing its overall dimensions, simplifying manufacturing procedure of rocket engine and decreasing power losses during operation.
