SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the field of medicine, namely to physiology. Method includes creation of hunger condition in an animal and free access of rabbit to preferable food during an experiment. At the same time food is placed into trough installed on electronic scale included into software and hardware complex. Using this complex, dynamic variations of food weight are registered as transformed into electric signals, as well as myoelectric activity of muscles, which participate in food-producing behaviour.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to determine time parametres of subsequent food-producing cycles and quantitative parametres of food consumption in each food-producing cycle of resulting food behaviour, to calculate speed indices of food-producing activity in process of food demand satisfaction by animals, synchronously with record of food-producing activity of rabbits to do registration of pulse activity of mastication muscles and muscles of cervical esophagus, to do parallel analysis of food consumption, mastication and ingestion rhythms, to carry out assessment of dynamic variations in food consumption by rabbits, and accordingly, of hunger motivation level, under conditions of electrostimulation and destruction of food hypothalamic centres.
