FIELD: veterinary medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method comprises creation of a state of famine in animal subjected to food deprivation, implantation in muscle of nose wings of rabbit of electromyographic electrodes and placement in the nasal cavity of the sensor of endocavitary pressure. The sensor and the electrodes are included into software and hardware complex. Synchronous registration of impulse activity of the muscles that control the sniffing movements, and intranasal pressure is carried out.
EFFECT: method of simultaneous registration of time and amplitude parameters of sniffing breathing in rabbits subjected to food deprivation enables to reveal patterns of impulse activity of muscles, specific for searching activity of hungry animals, that control the movements of the nose wings, and the occurring changes in intranasal pressure.
