FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical equipment, namely, to walking exercise machine and may be used in therapy of patients with paralysis of lower extremities or neurological damages and diseases in order to stimulate metabolic processes and to maintain functional condition of muscles and joints. Walking exercise machine is arranged with at least one orthesis with fixtures for fixation to area of foot or leg. Orthesis is installed with the possibility to move along specified trajectory of motion, simulating natural motion in process of walking. Simulator is installed on support surface. Between orthesis and support surface there are rocking or sliding facilities providing for possibility of orthesis motion relative to support surface.
EFFECT: exercise machine is a facility of independent training, which does not require motion of orthesis together with support surface, therefore exercise machine may be arranged so that it is much more compact of available accessories, exercise machine may be easily carried, since there are no specific requirements to support surface, therefore medical staff may deliver exercise machine directly to a patient, saving him or her from necessity to visit a therapeutist.
