FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device comprises wave pumps and evaporation-condensation chamber communicated therewith via pipeline. Reserve preparatory tanks arranged at different levels, reserve tank to feed sea water in calm sea, tank to accumulate and mineralise condensed sweet water and drain channel are communicated with said chamber via pipelines. Parabolic mirrors are directed onto evaporation-condensation chamber and reserve preparatory tanks to exploit solar energy to heat and evaporate seawater.
EFFECT: higher efficiency due to use of solar energy, reduced capital costs.
