AUTONOMOUS SOLAR SEA WATER DESALTER Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC C02F1/14

Abstract RU 2646004 C1

FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to desalination plants. Autonomous solar seawater desalter contains an autonomous power source and a series-connected solar energy concentrator 1, a water evaporator 5, a water vapor cooler 11, condensate pump for condensate drainage, fresh water collecting tank 12, brine collecting tank with a discharge pump and a collector with shut-off valves for distributing of fresh water. Evaporator 5 inlet is connected to a submerged seawater supply pump through a pipeline. Supply and condensate pumps electrical inputs are connected to the electricity source via the desalination control unit 4. Solar energy concentrator 1 is made in the form of a mirror system. Evaporator 5 is made in the form of a sealed container installed in the focus of the mirror system. Water vapors cooler 11 is made in the form of an adiabatic steam expander. Source of electricity is made in the form of an electric current turbo generator 8, installed along the water vapor flow between the evaporator 5 and the water vapors cooler 11. On the upper side, the evaporator 5 is further provided with a steam outlet branch pipe, and with a lower is with controlled shut-off valve 9, 10, connected to a brine collection tank through a drain pipeline. Turbo generator electric outputs are connected to the pumps and to the controlled shut-off valves 9, 10 through the control unit.

EFFECT: technical result of the claimed invention is an increase in the desalter efficiency and productivity from a few tens of liters per day of fresh water to hundreds and more liters per day.
