FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in nonlinear absorbing elements used as passive laser gates and optical couplings to prevent self-excitation of amplification cascades in iodine lasers (λ=1.3 mcm), solid-state (neodymium) lasers (λ=1.06 mcm), and other lasers in the (λ=0.3-2.0 mcm) range. Proposed method consists in jointing at least two plate-like glass parts together. Apex and base of true wedge in every plate are defined on pre-finished surfaces of plate parts and marked. Then, plate pairs with minimum differences in wedges are selected to be oriented relative to each other, and for registration of differential wedge θ pair of plates. Final assembly of optical parts consists in aligning plates marks: apex of one plate wedge should be aligned with the base of the other plate wedge.
EFFECT: precise optical joint of optical surface with high precision with respect to wedge angle and out-of-flatness.
