FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method includes formation of an interlayer which enables to reduce transient electrical resistance of titanium before applying an electrocatalytic coating based on mixed oxides of base metals by modifying its surface when placed in sodium vanadate solution for cathodic cleaning.
EFFECT: low power consumption and simple process of preparing the surface of titanium, which provides high adhesion capacity of the electrocatalytic oxide coating with material of the base to achieve the required service life of the electrode.
