FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device comprises electrolyser housing connected by inlet branch pipe with air filter and by outlet branch pipe with engine air inlet duct, anode and cathode. Electrolyser casing is made up of tight cathode with branch pipe to feed water solution of electrolyte. Anode represents a perforated cylinder with its end faces attached to the housing by dielectric perforated haskets. Inlet branch pipe allows controlled intake of air filter-cleaned air into electrolyser and engine air intake channel via bypass pipeline with valves. Electrolyser bottom part allows intake of filtered air controlled by valves via branch pipe with check valve and electrolyte adjustable blowing by engine exhaust gases. Outlet branch pipe incorporates drip pan and can suck off mix of gases from electrolyser communicated with engine air intake line.
EFFECT: higher efficiency, electrolyser safety, reduced toxicity.
