METHOD OF SOLUTION INTRODUCTION TO CADAVER'S VASCULAR SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC G01N33/15 G01N1/00

Abstract RU 2409812 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method of solution introduction in cadaver's vascular system and cerebrospinal fluid circulation system for embalming is carried out by delivering an apparatus comprising a tube with a hose through a nasal passage, ethmoid bone, cerebral substance, an internal wall of sagittal sinus and supplying a preservative solution through the tube at pressure 0.5-1.0 atm in a pulsation mode. The tube represents a trocar with a core. From a work side, at its end, the core has a two-edged blade with a chisel-shaped top. From an opposite side, the core has a bumper platform, a handle with a blade position mark and a hammer located between the handle and the bumper platform. When passing through the core with the blade via cerebral structures, the blade is oriented by the mark on the handle perpendicularly to a sagittal plane and directed to a back portion of a parietal suture. When delivered, the apparatus travels forward and right to left by a size of nasal passage width. The two-edged blade dissects vessels, ventricles of the cerebral substance, falx of cerebrum and both sagittal sinuses. The trocar is moved forward firmly to an internal plate of a calvarial bone. The hammer actuates the bumper platform, and the chisel breaks the internal plate of the calvarial bone, internal plates of parietal and occipital bones. The core is removed. A sealing cuff is placed, and a hose is attached to the trocar tube for supplying the preservative solution.

EFFECT: use of the method allows quick and more effective cadaver embalming.
