FIELD: perfusion.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for cryopreservation of the human brain. Method of perfusion for cryopreservation of the brain includes the introduction into the brain of the perfusate with its subsequent removal, through two separate channels. Path of the sagittal sinus – jugular vein, with the entrance to the anterior section of the sagittal sinus, is chosen as the cooling channel. Path of the ventricles – cervical arteries and veins with the entrance to the ventricular parts of the brain was chosen as the impregnating channel.
EFFECT: proposed method of perfusion for cryopreservation of the brain by passing the cooling perfusate through the large-caliber vessels of the head, provides an increase in the rate of cooling of brain tissue, and due to perfusion through the cerebrospinal fluid system with a distributed topology, it ensures that the intercellular space of the brain is evenly soaked with a cryoprotectant and eliminates the problem of blocking its flow paths.
