FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: proposed slag-forming mix contains in wt %: fluor spar concentrate - 12-20, sienite concentrate - 15-25, pulverised quartz - 8-15, anhydrous sodium carbonate - 4-8, ammonium chloride - 2-8, casting cryptocrystalline graphite - 3-6, absorbent coal - 3-5, ground amber mica - 1-5, portland cement making the rest. Ammonium chloride and/or absorbent coal reduces content of hydrated moisture in the mix, hence, hydrogen in poured steel.
EFFECT: improved surface quality.
