FIELD: chemistry; biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology. The invention discloses methods for analysing expression of one or more biomarkers in a tissue or mammal cell sample. In accordance with the described methods, determination of expression of one or more of such biomarkers is an indicator means that a tissue or cell sample will be sensitive to apoptosis-inducing substances such as agonist antibodies Apo2L/TRAIL and aHTH-DR5. Some biomarkers which can be analysed include fucosyl transferase, in particular fucosyl transferase 3 (FUT3) and/or fucosyl transferase 6 (FUC6), as well as sialyl Lewis A and/or X antigens.
EFFECT: invention widens the range of methods for predicting and treating cancer.
