FIELD: weapons and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to small arms ammunition. Proposed bullet comprises coated leading part with stepped outer surface, heat and tail parts, and bottom. Bullet head part comprises casing representing a hollow ellipsoid truncated on both side along larger axis. Casing larger base is secured onto stepped surface of bullet leading part, while its smaller base is arranged below bullet heat part apex. There is a clearance between casing top part inner surface and bullet outer surface. Semi-oval holes are made in said casing along lengthwise axis. Bullet surface has grooves made along its axis to run under the casing attachment to the bullet. Grooves are arranged along the circumference between said holes in the casing.

EFFECT: higher combat characteristics.
