FIELD: measurement equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods to assess disposition of steels to general corrosion with application of deformation parameters with absence of special corrosion medium. Method includes measurement of deformation parameters that characterise steel. Besides, measurement of deformation parameters is carried out by gradual stretching of samples with stops of loading process at each i level until the first plastic deformation jump appears. Then its value Δlp and according elastic deformation Δle are determined at this level of loads, and their ratio is determined with account of tension at the first jump. At the same time deformation parameter K is determined using the following formula: where Δlp - value of the first plastic jump of aftereffect deformation, mcm, Δle - value of elastic deformation at this level of load, mcm, σs - limit of steel strength, MPa, σi - tension at the section of the first plastic deformation jump, MPa, and deformation parameter K is used to assess disposition of steel to general corrosion. At the same time if K<0.28, steel is not disposed to general corrosion, if K=0.28-0.63, steel is slightly disposed to general corrosion, and if K>0.63, steel is disposed to general corrosion.
EFFECT: increased efficiency, reduced time required to detect disposition of various brands of steels to general corrosion and reduced labour intensiveness of tests.
