METHOD OF PROTECTING MOBILE DEVICES FROM RADIO, RADIOLOCATION, OPTOELECTRONIC RECONNAISSANCE EQUIPMENT AND WEAPONS USING COMPOSITE DECOY TARGETS AND APPARATUS FOR REALISING SAID METHOD Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC G01S7/38

Abstract RU 2410710 C2

FIELD: physics, radio.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of protecting mobile communication equipment from reconnaissance equipment (radio, radiolocation, optoelectronic) and weapons. N composite decoy targets are set, which imitate mobile communication equipment and functioning thereof in an operation on the primary task by converting the created information message from the radio frequency range to an optical range for its transmission over a laser communication line to one of N(N>1) composite decoy targets. Laser radiation from the i-th composite decoy target is received and then converted back to a radio frequency signal and then retransmitted to the user, where if the i-th composite decoy target is destroyed, the source of laser radiation is redirected onto the j-th composite decoy target. Also, each composite decoy target enables reproduction of give-away signs of the mobile communication equipment in the infrared and radiolocation range, provides visibility of the camouflaged mobile communication equipment in the visible wavelength range by covering camouflage net with holding of the overall dimensions of the mobile communication equipment.

EFFECT: high durability of mobile communication equipment owing to simulation of give-away signs of an object in the radiolocation, visible and infrared range and avoiding detection and direction finding of emission of mobile communication equipment by reconnaissance equipment during operation on the primary task.
