METHOD TO REMOVE STUMPS AND THEIR ROOTS FROM SOIL IN FELLING SITE Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC A01G23/06 

FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: method includes milling of stumps along whole cross section, grinding of milled wood of stumps and separation of side roots of stumps by means of working element with cone bottom. Cutting elements are arranged in staggered order at the cutting angle along generating lines of cone bottom. Holes for supply of ground wood of stumps into cone bottom of working element are provided under cutting elements. Ground wood of stumps is collected by means of its suction into air duct and discharge into accumulating container. Side roots separated from stumps are pulled out from soil, shaken to remove soil remains and solid particles, fed to cutting machine by means of vibration of feeding device, roots are cut into fine particles, and ground wood of roots is collected by means of suction into air duct and discharge into accumulating hopper to produce ground wood, which is ready for further recycling and production of fuel elements.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to clean felling sites soil from stumps and their roots for forest recovery works and to do logging, its use in the future to produce fuel elements and other useful products from logging industry wastes.
