SUBSTANCE: method refers to medicine, particularly to ophthalmology and can be used for treating elderly and senile glaucoma optic neuropathy. That is ensured by the introduction of 0.5% betaxolol instilled by 1 drop 2 times a day constantly and a standard Ginkgo biloba extract EGb 761 - Tanakan by a developed regimen. Tanakan is administered as follows: 1 week - 1 tablet once a day in the morning; 1 week - 1 tablet 2 times a day in the morning and in the afternoon; 2 months - 1 tablet 3 times a day; 1 week - 1 tablet 2 times a day in the morning and in the afternoon; 1 week - 1 tablet once a day in the morning; 1 week - 1 tablet in a day in the morning (total - 3 months 1 week). The introduction by the regimen is carried out once in 6 months.

EFFECT: method provides effective conventional therapy of the disease with side effects being eliminated.
