SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to methods of treating glaucoma optic neuropathy. Local antihypertensive therapy. Transorbital low-frequency magnetic stimulation is performed. Amplitude value of magnetic induction on the working surface of the inductor-37.5 Mt, pulsating mode of magnetic induction with frequency 17 Hz with smoothly rising front of and fall of pulse duration 15 ms. Transorbital low-frequency magnetic stimulation is performed at closed eyes for 5-7 minutes. Therapeutic course makes 6-10 daily procedures. Four course is carried out for one year every 3 months.
EFFECT: method provides more effective treatment of glaucoma optic neuropathy due to reliable increasing Visual acuity, increasing total visual field values in 8 meridians, reducing or eliminating relative scotomas.
