FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemistry and may be used in hydrogen production. Preheated process steam is forced through reforming section 4 to heat, at least, one catalytic tube 19 in reforming section 4 with the help of indirect heat exchange with gas-fluid mix circulating enclosed inside common chamber. Reformed process gas is withdrawn from reforming section 4 and, possibly, cooled by preheating of fed process medium. Fuel with preheated air is fed into one furnace 14 in combustion chamber 2. Furnace gas is withdrawn from furnace 14 and forced through steam-formation section 3. Circulating gas-fluid mix is heated by indirect heat exchange with furnace gas glowing through said steam-formation section. Reforming reactor comprises, at least, one feed tube 7 carrying process medium to be converted, reforming section 4 and steam-formation section 3 enclosed inside common chamber, and combustion chamber 2. Reforming section 4 comprises one or several catalytic tube 19 filled with catalyst. Steam-formation section 3 incorporates one or several tubes 10 to carry furnace gas from combustion chamber 2, while said chamber 2 incorporates, at least, one furnace 14.
EFFECT: reduced heat loses, quickly reached and maintained working temperature.
