FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for drop and control of gas pressure coming to consumer from high pressure main, for example, for control of natural gas pressure at output from gas distributing stations. The pressure governor consists of channels of gas input and output and of a case. Inside the case there is installed an axially travelling piston valve communicating channels of input and output, a valve seat and a control piston governing travels of the piston valve. One additional lengthwise channel of alternate cross section communicating the input channel with a cavity behind the seat of the piston valve is made on internal side of input channel. An input section of the piston valve overlaps the additional channel at axial travel. Internal surface of the input channel and an input section of the piston valve are profiled forming alternate cross section channel at axial travel of the valve; this channel communicates the input channel with the cavity behind the seat of the piston channel. A porous insertion is installed between gas input and output channels.
EFFECT: increased reliability of operation and accuracy of maintaining output pressure in wide range of mode parametres change including those at low consumption of gas.
