FIELD: information technologies.

SUBSTANCE: method and system are disclosed to realise methods of multi-user virtual multiple input/multiple output (MIMO) for wireless transfer/receipt units (WTRU) with one or more antennas. This system includes basic station and at least one unit WTRU with at least two antennas. Number of antennas of basic station is not less than number of antennas of any of WTRU units. Basic station generates matrix of channel for WTRU units and processes signals received from WTRU units on the basis of measurement of channel matrix. WTRU units may perform preliminary coding of transfer or formation of own directivity pattern by means of channel matrix information. WTRU units may also perform separation of transfer.

EFFECT: realisation of virtual MIMO for WTRU units with two or more antennas.
