SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine and is intended for treatment of patients with obliterating atherosclerosis of arteries of lower extremities. Impact on patient's lumbosacral sympathetic ganglia is performed by spatially distributed rotating field of electric current pulses. Position of current vector changes continuously in accordance with specified programme. Volumetric current pulse density has maximal value in projection of sympathetic ganglia. Frequency of pulse rate is in range 5-100 Hz, duration 50-500 mcs, amplitude 5-8 mA, procedure duration is 15 minutes in which - 2 impacts with 5 minute duration with 5-minute break, daily, with 10 procedures per a course.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to influence sympathetic regulation of artery tone at all stages and at any disease duration, as well as after reconstructive operations on vessels of lower extremities in case of accompanying cardiovascular diseases.
