METHOD FOR TREATING OBLITERATING ARTERIOSCLEROSIS OF VESSELS OF LOWER LIMBS Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC A61N1/00 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to physiotherapy, angiology and can be used for complex treatment of obliterating atherosclerosis of lower limbs arteries (OALLA). Sequential laser exposure (LE) is performed, followed by a rest break and a dry carbon dioxide bath (DCDB) procedure. LE is pulsed infrared low-intensity laser radiation (IR LLR) with pulse power (PP) of 5 W, pulse repetition rate (PRR) of 80 Hz. Region of projection of lumbar sympathetic ganglia - at level L₂-L₄ is paravertebral and on a projection area of the most superficially located neurovascular bundles of legs and foot - popliteal cavities and internal ankles. Exposure time for each zone is 4 minutes. During subsequent DCDB, carbon dioxide gas feed rate is 15 l/min, relative humidity of steam-air mixture is 100%. Therapeutic course consists of 10 daily consecutive procedures of the LE complex with DCDB. IR LLR from the first procedure act on said zones in turns. After the laser exposure with a rest period of 1 hour, a DCDB procedure is performed, with a bath temperature of 30°C, by supplying carbon dioxide to the bath to concentration of 30-35 vol%. DCDB length is 20 minutes.

EFFECT: method provides correction of functional disorders, higher clinical effectiveness and quality of life of OALLA patients ensured by combined exposure of DCDB and IR LLR.
