FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of producing polymer nanocomposites, namely, metal-containing nanocomposites and may be used in production of materials with unusual properties for various branches of industry. Proposed method comprises adding metal nanoparticles to polymer matrix, and deposition of vapors of one or several metals in vacuum. Note here that vapors of said metals are deposited on the surface of polymer film in amount of 1014-1016 metal atoms per 1 cm2 of the surface. Then, polymer film containing deposited metal is melted, the melt being mixed and granulated. Note here that metal content in produced metal-containing nanocomposites is regulated by repeating deposition and melting and/or varying surface-to-area ratio in initial polymer film.

EFFECT: ruling out agglomeration of separate nanoparticles, uniform sizes and distribution of said particles, simplified procedure and ease of production.
