FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method of producing composite gradient thin-film polymer material involves co-condensation of vapour of p-xylylene or derivatives thereof and mixtures thereof. Vapour of p-xylylene or derivatives thereof and mixtures thereof is obtained from paracyclophane or derivatives thereof and mixtures thereof and nanoparticles of an inorganic phase in a vacuum on a substrate. Co-condensation and polymerisation processes take place under the effect of a nonuniform electric field. The composite material consists of a spatially organised ensemble of nanoparticles of an inorganic phase in a polyparaxylylene matrix containing 5-25 vol. % semiconductors or metals, and having a rectifying effect.
