FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: described is a method of producing copolymers of isoprene with styrene in a medium of hydrocarbon solvent in the presence of an anionic initiator combined with an electron donor - a sodium-containing organic compound, followed by deactivation of the catalyst, stabilisation and extraction of the copolymer, involving using isoprenyl magnesium - a product of reaction between isoprene and magnesium metal as the anionic initiator, and ethyl ether of sodium ethyleneglycolate as the sodium-containing organic compound and the process is carried out in equivalent ratio of the latter to isoprenyl magnesium equal to 1 : (0.77-1.51).
EFFECT: obtaining copolymers of isoprene with styrene with high content of vinyl links in a wide range of molecular weight as a block and statistical structure.
