FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: solid fuel poking method involves movement of grate with fuel relative to poking element. When fuel is moved to one side, it is shot into a pile; then, grate is moved to the other side and the pile is levelled. Piles are formed on both sides of grate. When being shot, fuel is mixed. When being shot, sliding of grate relative to fuel is provided. During sliding the slots of grate are widened. Widening of slots of the grate provides removal of non-combustible fuel residues through them.
EFFECT: improving burning process and reducing operating costs.
