FIELD: power industry.
SUBSTANCE: electric heater is designed for heating of dwelling and production rooms and hot water supply, as well as for heating of galvanic baths during production of parts of instrument and machine building industry. Electric heater includes multiple-plate electrodes installed with a gap and made from graphite, connected with current leads and submerged into heated medium. Water having specific electric conductivity of 1·10-5 Sm cm-1 to 6·10-2 Sm cm-1 is used as heated medium.
EFFECT: reducing operating costs and improving operating efficiency of electric heater owing to decreasing electric energy consumption.
