FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to foundry. Proposed metal mould comprises housing 1 with moulding space and mould form (3) made in housing wall, and insert 2 arranged in the housing. Said insert has main part 2a arranged in mould form with clearance and thrust ledge 2h. Main part height hg is smaller than mould form depth by tg. Said size (tg) equals that by which main part 2a expands in casting due to heating in contact with melt.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of casting production due to elimination of strains on surfaces of metal mould and insert.
