FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used for ICE cylinder block casting. Proposed casting pattern consists of moulding parts 1, 2, 3 made from sand mix, and mould rods 4, 5, 6, 7 to produce cavity in cast part. Cast part with one local limited fragment with crystalline structure differing from that of the rest cast part has its mould rod fragment 4, 5, 6, 7 formed by cooling metal mould 9 and another fragment 8 is formed by sand mix.
EFFECT: better mechanical properties in higher load zone.
