FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: random access channel (RACH) is defined as created by a "fast" random access channel (F-RACH) and a "slow" random access channel (S-RACH). F-RACH and S-RACH may efficiently support user terminals in various operating states, having various designs. F-RACH may be used for system fast accessing and S-RACH is more reliable and may support user terminals in various operating states and conditions. F-RACH may be used by user terminals which are registered in the system and may compensate for their delay when passing both ends through corresponding changes in timing their transmission. S-RACH may be used by user terminals which may or may not be registered in the system and may or may not be in a state to compensate for their RTD. User terminals may be used to access F-RACH or S-RACH or both channels.
EFFECT: efficient random access scheme for multiple access wireless communication systems.
