SUBSTANCE: invention relates to items of light industry, namely to domestic furniture objects, in particular, to beds. Lifting bed comprises frame with mattress and mechanism of frame movement. Frame movement mechanism comprises self-braking hoist and guide elements with vertical or horizontal axles of rotation, interacting with flexible joint. All guide elements are arranged on ceiling. Guide elements with horizontal axles of rotation are arranged at trajectory of flexible link vertical sections movement and opposite to fixation elements, which are fixed on frame. In case room ceiling height increases on horizontal section of flexible link arranged between hoist and guide element, at least one guide element is installed with vertical axle of rotation. Flexible link connects frame with hoist. Flexible link includes horizontal ceiling and vertical sections. Vertical sections of flexible link are arranged on trajectory of frame corners movement, are equal to each other and each of them in height does not exceed length of horizontal section arranged between hoist and guide element. Frame additionally comprises support knives.
