FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to extraction system for extracting thallic ions from aqueous solutions and may be used for their separation from solutions of complex ion composition in hybrid and combined methods of analysis. Extraction system to extract thallic ions from aqueous solutions in the presence of 0.5-2.0 mole/l of sulfuric acid comprises surfactant. i.e. alkyl benzele-dimethyl ammonium chloride of common formula [CnH2n+1N+(CH3)2CH2C6H5]Cl, where n=10-18, desalting agent, i.e. sodium chloride, and water. Ratio of components in wt %: [CnH2n+1N+(CH3)2CH2C6H5]Cl - 5-15; sodium chloride - 13-17; water - up to 100.
EFFECT: quantitative extraction of thallic ions from aqueous solutions without using toxic and inflammable substances.
