FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of artificial aggregates for concrete and mortar. In the method of producing artificial aggregate, involving layering granular material into two layers, sintering said material, grinding and fractionation, the granular material used is glass and/or frit with particle size of 1-10 mm. The layers are 6-30 mm thick and a 1-5 mm thick intermediate layer is placed in between using powdered borax and/or boric aid with particle size of 0.1-3 mm.
EFFECT: easy production of aggregate.
