FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of coarse artificial porous aggregates which can be used in foamed concrete. The method of producing porous aggregate involves preparation of a ceramic mixture, moulding said mixture, drying and firing. A layer of aluminium powder is then deposited on the surface of the grains cooled to 50-80°C.
EFFECT: obtaining aggregate which provides uniform gas formation in the concrete mixture and a simple technique for applying aluminium powder onto the surface of the grains.
