FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: user interfaces, methods, systems and machine-readable data medium for activating and/or displaying text input systems on display devices include: (a) displaying the activation target of the text input system in a user-changed location on the display device; (b) obtaining user input data directed onto the activation target; and (c) activation of the text input system in response to user data input. Such user interfaces, methods and systems additionally include: (d) displaying status before interaction of the activation target; (e) obtaining user input data directed onto the activation target in that status before interaction; and (f) changing the appearance of the activation target from the status before interaction to a larger size and/or another visible appearance in response to the said user data input.

EFFECT: improved user interface which enables use of data entered with electronic ink or electronic stylus pen.
