FIELD: computer devices.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium for detecting user input with a pen-type stylus on a display screen in the absence of pressure sensor information. A signal is received at the digitizer of the computer device from an input tool configured to provide information about the pressure on the surface of the display screen of the computer device, and the signal received at the digitizer does not have pressure information; detecting whether a signal from the input tool exceeds a threshold voltage; determining that the input tool is an input tool without pressure, based at least on the detection that the signal exceeds the threshold voltage; and configuring the input with the default pressure information based on at least determining that the input tool is a non-pressure input tool.
EFFECT: providing the possibility to use a stylus with a damaged or broken pressure sensor as a device for inputting information into a computer device.
