FIELD: information technology.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed method and apparatus are based on multiple reservation of channels on which critical functions of aircraft onboard equipment is realised. Processes for controlling redundancy and the computation process are divided partially by hardware and in a real time cycle by software. Majority comparison of signals passing through each channel is carried out in each of the computation channels. Ambiguity of majority comparison of signals in different channels is eliminated by majority comparison of signal comparison results. Reliability of signal majority control is achieved through statistical processing of the random process of changing the critical parametre, calculating residual dispersion and its majority comparison.

EFFECT: high reliability and accuracy of processing critical functions of a failure-tolerant computing system.
