SUBSTANCE: data transmission signal may be generated and transmitted with a first power level, and a continuous pilot signal containing pilot information relating to the data signal may be generated and transmitted with a second transmission power level lower than the first transmission power level. Alternatively, a discontinuous pilot signal may be generated so that it does not overlap with pilot segments in the first signal, and may be transmitted with a first power level without mutual interference with the first signal as received by a SISO user device. A MIMO user device may receive both signals and may use the pilot signal for better evaluation of the MIMO channel for the first signal.

EFFECT: high quality of pilot information on MIMO user devices without increasing mutual interference of SISO user devices in a wireless communication environment.
